Collection: Back & Lat Machines

Back and lat machines are gym equipment designed to target and strengthen the muscles in your back, particularly the latissimus dorsi (lats), rhomboids, traps, and lower back. These machines use different mechanisms, such as cables, weights, or leverage, to provide adjustable resistance and isolate various back muscles. Here are the different types of back & lat machines:

Lat Pulldown Machines

  • Users pull a bar or handles down from an overhead position, mimicking the movement of a pull-up.

Row Machines

Seated Row:

  • Users sit and pull a handle toward their torso, focusing on squeezing the shoulder blades together.

T-Bar Row:

  • Typically involves a fixed bar with a chest pad to support the user while they pull weight toward their torso.

Back Extension Equipment

Back Extension Machine:

  • Users sit upright with their legs secured and perform the extension by pushing against a backrest with their lower back.

Hyperextension Bench:

  • Users lie face down on a bench with their legs secured, performing back extensions by bending and extending the torso.

Roman Chair:

  • Users typically face down with their hips on a padded support and legs secured, performing back extensions by hinging at the waist.

Glute Hamstring Developers (GHD):

  • Users position themselves face down with their feet secured and thighs against a curved support. By hinging at the waist and raising the upper body, GHDs target the glutes, hamstrings, and lower back muscles.

Assisted Pull-Up & Chin-Up Machines

  • Helps users perform pull-ups and chin-ups by providing counterweight to reduce the amount of body weight they have to lift.
