Collection: Saunas
What Are Saunas?
Saunas are enclosed spaces designed to generate heat, creating a high-temperature environment that promotes sweating and relaxation. They are commonly used for wellness, detoxification, muscle recovery, and improving circulation.
Types of Saunas
1. Traditional Saunas (Dry or Steam Saunas)
-Heated using electric, wood, or gas stoves with rocks that radiate heat.
-Temperatures typically range from 150°F to 195°F (65°C to 90°C).
-Water can be poured over the rocks to create steam (called a wet sauna or steam sauna).
-Provides intense heat, making users sweat heavily.
2. Infrared Saunas
-Use infrared light to heat the body directly instead of heating the air.
-Temperatures are lower, around 120°F to 150°F (49°C to 65°C).
-Penetrates deeper into the skin, allowing for a different type of heat therapy.
-Often considered more comfortable for people who cannot tolerate high heat.
Both types offer relaxation and health benefits, but traditional saunas create a hotter environment, while infrared saunas provide a gentler, more targeted heat.
