“Driven to Innovate” – Intek Strength
Founded in 1994 by a gym owner and a gym equipment specialist, Orthotech Sports Medical Equipment was created with a clear focus: to distribute high-quality fitness equipment backed by innovation and outstanding customer support.
That focus later led to the creation of Intek Strength and the reengineering of the classic pro-style dumbbell. As the industry moved toward solid, urethane-encased designs, Intek Strength shifted as well, but found the rate of product failure in competing designs to be unacceptable. So, their product development team began working heavily on designing, testing, redesigning and re-testing. The result was the first Armor Series dumbbell that featured stainless steel handles and a near bulletproof urethane finish.
